A Cielo Aperto is an indipendent and self-financed initiative started in Latronico (Basilicata) in 2005 by Vincenzo De Luca Onlus.
The round table participants are: Bianco-Valente, Pasquale Campanella, Fabrizio Bellomo, Michele Giangrande, Antonio Ottomanelli, Giuseppe Teofilo e Marco Petroni, moderated by Pietro Marino and Christian Caliandro.
A Cielo Aperto has involved, during the last ten years, several artists who have developed long term projects on site. They have worked in a deep contact with the village community.
The artists involved are: Fabrizio Bellomo, Francesco Bertelé, Bianco-Valente, Stefano Boccalini, Elisa Fontana, Andrea Gabriele e Andrea Di Cesare, Michele Giangrande, Elisa Laraia, Antonio Ottomanelli, Giuseppe Teofilo, Eugenio Tibaldi, Wurmkos, Virginia Zanetti.
The authors worked on common issues, rising and gaving value to the local history, identity and to the material and symbolic shapes of the territory. The output has been a multiplicity of art works and actions addressed to the public space. This presentation aim to be an opportunity to talk about the possible developement of artistic intervention in specific local contests.
